The group, so influential throughout the Seventies and Eighties, are recognised as taking punk to a new level and influenced the likes of R.E.M., The Cure and Manic Street Preachers.

They, more than any other group, symbolised punk as a fusion of contradictions: fast-slow, fun-threatening, soft-loud. Now, 35 years on and with the release of their twelfth studio album, Wire are back creating their unique style and unmistakable sound destined to rekindle that raw live energy of gigs gone by.
