Immerse yourself in a weekend where wine takes the lead. Sitges' Harvest Festival combines Catalunya's wine craftsmanship with seaside charm.
Every autumn, Sitges dresses up to celebrate one of its most emblematic and anticipated events: the Grape Harvest Festival and Wine Show, a perfect combination of culture, gastronomy and winemaking roots. With more than 60 years of history, the festival pays tribute to the town's winemaking past, especially linked to malvasia grapes, an indigenous variety and symbol of Sitges' identity. In addition to the opening ceremony and the first pressing of the grapes, we can also see fun and unique traditions, such as the grape treaders' competition and the weighing of the "pubilla" and "hereu" of Sitges in wine bottles. The wine show becomes a meeting point throughout the weekend, filling the Passeig de la Ribera and La Fragata with a display of wineries from Garraf and the DO Penedès, where you can taste wines, cavas and malvasias in an open space, next to the sea.
