Wilco returns to the stage with a new album, Ode to Joy, three years after the release of the World-Weary, Wheezy – and Wonderfully Warm. The album’s arrangements are built on funky rhythms and minimalist instrumentation, with lyrics at once observant, hopeful, morbid, funny, and abstract. 

Whether our joy is measured by the nostalgia of clutching an old sweater to our chest, by the number of tiny digital hearts earned by sharing a post on social media, by a rockin' guitar solo, by the sparkle in the eye of a stranger, or or by something even greater, Wilco wants to sincerely remind us to wear that feeling loud and proud. This is Ode to Joy: grab it, cherish it, hold it tight.
