Why We Speak reflects the idiosyncrasies of the programing of urban music at Jamboree. "We speak for who we are," the organizers of this event explain, "of what we believe and what we see; we say what few dare to say," they affirm, and continue: "We talk about racial discrimination, social criticism, as well as everyday life, disappointments and love. Each one has a story to tell according to their roots and where they come from."
This closing of the Mas i Mas'23 urban music cycle will be in the charge of women: Peruvian Mara Valenzuela, a DJ and singer in whose show she presents a wide variety of styles; Nyah from Valencia, a singer on the R&B and neo-soul scene in Barcelona; and Cecé & The Soul Kitchen, with roots in Argentina, Venezuela and Colombia, one of the best local R&B, hip hop and neo-soul bands. The day will be closed by Scandaloso Xpósito, rapper and saxophonist, the great Spanish reference of hip-hop-jazz.
