The exhibition Warhol & Vijande, a Date in Barcelona explores Andy Warhol’s visit to Spain in 1983 with gallery owner Fernando Vijande, and presents 20 portraits that photographer Christopher Makos took of his friend and collaborator Andy Warhol. At the same time, the exhibition accompanies the presentation of the documentary Más que Pistolas, Cuchillos y Cruces (More than Guns, Knives and Crosses), which, with the help of Alaska and through the testimony of prominent personalities from the cultural world of the time, tells the story of Warhol’s visit to Madrid in 1983 on the occasion of the exhibition that Fernando Vijande dedicated to him in his gallery.
