When asked in an interview about her stage name, Ven'nus, Valèria N. Saurí commented that she finds the planet Venus "very funny because it is the only one in the solar system that orbits backwards." Almost five years after starting her musical project during the pandemic, we can say that Ven'nus is orbiting in perfect company. This composer and producer, born in Sabadell at the turn of the millennium, is a perfect exponent of the new wave of Catalan pop, having collaborated with Mushkaa, xicu and BALMA.

Together, they create homegrown sound codes, an irresistible kilometer-zero soundtrack, though it is easy to imagine Ven’nus collaborating with Oklou or Japanese Breakfast as well, inhabiting the same space between reality and reverie.
