For those interested in expanding their skill-set, the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IaaC) is putting on a series of five-day workshops aimed at promoting the sharing of knowledge. This year’s project focuses on four different courses where participants can mingle with, and learn from, some of the brightest, most innovative and creative minds within those themes. It also gives a chance for those involved to network with other like-minded people.
The focus of this year’s immersive workshops are lighting design, land art, typography and data visualisation, with each one being led by a renowned expert in the field. The residential workshops will be held at the Valldaura Labs—a self-sufficient habitat research centre. Located in the Collserola Natural Park, just half an hour from central Barcelona, it is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and really focus on the course. Organic meals and snacks, prepared on site, are included. For those especially interested in food, the workshops will also host a special conference with world-acclaimed Catalan chef, Ferran Adrià.
