Listening to Ultralágrima’s songs delivers a twofold impact. At first, they sound futuristic, but later reveal themselves to be entirely realistic: a soundtrack to asphyxiating life in a city in 2025. Behind this project, which captures a generational mood, are Marco Henri and Ignacio López, two musicians with experience in other projects such as Margarita Quebrada, Tarara! and Gomet. Both are part of a new wave of Valencian artists who, although it may sound contradictory, are exploring the dark corners of pop under the Mediterranean sun.
These codes are shared with other artists from their generation and context, such as Xenia, La Plata and Blu Boi, though the sound also connects with the trance-pop productions of Sega Bodega and the hallmarks of the Swedish label YEAR0001. Ultralágrima will present both their debut album (2024) and their recent EP Días de Alegría (2025).
