Trofeu Joan Gamper
Barça celebrate winning the 2011 Trofeu Joan Gamper 5-0 against Naples.
Following the departure of Pep Guardiola as trainer of FC Barcelona's first eleven, fans get the chance to see how his successor Tito Vilanova fares at the Camp Nou.
The Trofeu Joan Gamper (named for the Swiss founder of the club) is traditionally played as a pre-season presentation of the new Barça line-up, usually against an inferior opponent (is there any other kind these days?), to give the home side the opportunity to really show off their skills. However, with a crowded timetable this year, this event actually takes place after the first match of La Liga 2012/13.
Still with tickets up in the gods of the Camp Nou starting at just €9, this is still a great chance for those of us without a season ticket to see world-class footballing skill in a world-class stadium.
Buy your tickets through the club's website here.
