Early cinema narrated ancient legends of witches, buried treasures, magic formulas, talismans and old books. The films of Georges Méliès, which were revolutionary at the beginning of the 20th century, told similar tales of magic and intrigue. The short films were all created between nthe years of 1899 and 1909, yet still continue to fascinate children and adults over a century later.

In this selection of shorts, we will see the magic of Georges Méliès's cinema with fully restored and hand-colored frames versions.  Though the films were created in France, there is no dialogue, so each story is open to your own interpretation regardless of your native tongue.

Recommended age: 5 years or older
