The founder and core member of The Mountain Goats, John Darnielle, often collaborates with a variety of artists. In this case he will be performing with Alessi's Ark, the musical project of the British singer-songwriter, Alessi Laurent-Marke.
Darnielle has written over 600 songs that are often very sad and concern topics such as drug use and sickness. His songs are told beautifully and in immense detail, which will often be autobiographical, and his ability to capture an audience demonstrates his talent as a songwriter.
