Blending comedy and drama in equal measure, this darkly humorous thriller, the second film from award-winning director Kim Mi-jo, explores the boundaries of love, loss, action and revenge.
When the man responsible for her youngest daughter's death is suddenly released from prison, a grieving mother and her three daughters embark on a road trip to Gyeong-ju, driven by vengeance. On the surface, it appears to be a family road movie, but beneath lies a deep pain and anger that gradually consumes each member of the family. Will they achieve their goal?
The chemistry between all the actresses in the cast is palpable. The mother leads the journey, her stoic resilience tempered by her grief. The eldest daughter bears the weight of caring for her family; The second daughter plays a newly graduated but unemployed lawyer, who struggles with frustration and helplessness; meanwhile, the youngest daughter is a former taekwondo fighter, who adds an element of unpredictability to the adventure.
Film will be screened in original version with subtitles in Spanish.
