The Invention of Time
to
Centre Martorell d’Exposicions Passeig de Picasso 9, 08003 Barcelona
An exhibition to reflect on time from the perspective of science, culture and the human condition.
What is time? How do we perceive it? Where does it come from? Can we predict the future or travel in the past? Based on these questions and many more, the exhibition The Invention of Time offers a thematic and emotional journey through the concept of time. The goal is to explore the major scientific advances and cultural interpretation that have helped us understand, measure and experience this very abstract yet deeply human-centred phenomenon.
The exhibition combines content from biology, physics, neuroscience, art and literature to show how time cuts across all spheres of our existence: from the origin of the universe and the evolution of life to the individual perception of the passing of time, memory, planning the future and awareness of the present.
