Formed in 1999, The Cat Empire is an Australian ensemble renowned for its eclectic fusion of reggae, jazz, Latin rock, funk and ska, captivating audiences with their dynamic live performances. With over one and a half million records sold, they've garnered a reputation for their vibrant, enchanting, and unforgettable shows. Their influence in Spain was solidified through tours accompanying their sixth album, "Steal The Light" (2013), and further elevated with "Rising With The Sun" in 2016. Following a hiatus in 2017, they returned with "Stolen Diamonds" in 2019. Since 2022, led by founders Felix Riebl and Ollie McGill, the band has embraced a new chapter, featuring a rotating lineup of musicians while staying true to The Cat Empire's original essence.
Their latest tour celebrates movement, evolution, and joy, showcasing tracks from their recent album "Where The Angels Fall" (released August 2023) alongside beloved classics like "Money Coming My Way" and "Rock'n'Roll." The addition of new members brings a wealth of cultural and musical diversity, including Roscoe Irwin and Kieran Conrau on brass, Daniel Farrugia on percussion, Grace Barbé on bass and vocals, Lázaro Numa on trumpet, and Iranian percussionist Neda Rahmani.
