The Brian Jonestown Massacre was formed in San Francisco, California, in 1990. They have been essential to the development of the modern American garage scene, with many musicians from Los Angeles and San Francisco starting out by playing with Anton Newcombe. Their influence continues to spread far and wide and can be heard in today’s wave of psychedelic bands on the British scene.
