Pod, The Breeders' debut album, was released in 1990 and received critical praise for its fresh approach and distinctive sound. The album showcased the band's ability to mix catchy melodies with experimental guitar riffs.
After opening for Nirvana in Dublin and Belfast, taking part in the prestigious Glastonbury festival and offering 27 sold-out concerts, they headed to San Francisco to record Last Splash, their most popular album. After the success of Last Splash, the band took a break, and Kim Deal focused on her intermittent involvement with The Pixies. The Breeders returned in 2002 with the album Title TK. Over the years, the band's lineup has undergone changes, but the Deal sisters have been the constant, leading the musical direction of the band.
The Breeders have continued to be an influential force in the alternative rock scene, noted for their distinctive songwriting and unmistakable creative approach.
