The Art of Fugue is considered one of the masterpieces in the history of music and Bach’s most theoretical composition, conceived as a compendium of counterpoint techniques. Published in unfinished form a year after his death, it exists in several versions that have continued to attract the attention of renowned performers, such as American harpsichordist Kenneth Weiss, who has made it one of his specialties.
