A successful trans actress proudly occupies the place she has earned in the world. She enjoys the prestige of her brilliant career and the attention she attracts from those around her, including a handsome Mexican lawyer. As their love blossoms into marriage, they form a home and build a family, she charts the course of her life and weaves it into a new trans narrative that demands the right to enjoyment, ambition, desire, glamour and security, as well as flaws and contradictions. Tesis sobre una domesticación, an adaptation of the novel of the same name by trans actress and writer Camila Sosa Villada, focuses on Villada herself, who masterfully embodies a protagonist who refuses to succumb to either the norms of success and family or the expectations of life as a trans woman. It is a bold portrait of a woman who defies definitions and must face the cost of her iconoclastic life.

Film will be screened in original version with subtitles in Catalan.
