Suncine Film Festival 2022
to

SUNCINE is the oldest environmental film festival in the world. The goal of the festival is to educate through entertaining and to raise awareness, using audiovisuals as a tool and language. Since its creation in 1993, SUNCINE has argued that “the environment is a human right.” Its program includes films supporting this and there is an Official Section of short and long documentaries. The festival invites you to cross the line in the search for alternative, sustainable and positive solutions. The pandemic and the climate emergency have marked a point of no return: "It is essential to reformulate the dialogue with our Mother Earth and Nature."
In addition to the screening program, the festival hosts every year the FICMARKET, the first world environmental documentary audio-visual market that brings together different agents in the sector. SUNCINE is part of the United Nations Environment Program and exports the festival to Latin American countries.
SUNCINE is a multi-screen festival (in-person, online and televised). Its primary objective is to promote, disseminate and publicize environmental audiovisual works to raise awareness about the state of the environment, biodiversity and the planet’s sustainability.
