The Australians Sticky Fingers present their latest album, Lekkerboy, their fifth studio LP, which came out in April 2022. A deluxe version was released in March with a second album with six new songs, including the singles "Sidelines," "Waterfall" and "Someone You Need."

Lekkerboy is the perfect reflection of the journey Sticky Fingers has been on so far. Written during the pandemic, in the first time in 13 years that the band has been isolated, living in different parts of Australia, the quintet led by vocalist Dylan Frost finally reconnected to make some of their best work to date. Their tendency to experiment with new sounds continues on Lekkerboy, as they traverse the paths of psych-rock, surf-rock and reggae. The vibe of the album conveys a sense of triumph and pride, and it does so without moralism. These new lyrics compared with those of previous works—such as those in the third EP, the acoustic Happy Endings (2011)—are as different night and day. If those were impregnated with doubt and confusion, these show a self-confident band, with self-respect, self-control and personal growth.
