Every summer, Parking Shakespeare transforms the Parc de l’Estació del Nord into a stage open to everyone. This summer's performance, Hamlet i les coses podrides (Hamlet and the Rotten Things) is nourished by Hamlet’s darkness and irony to reflect on what it means to act when the whole system is rotten. The show condenses Shakespeare’s great themes through a story full of suspicion, specters, power games and postponed revenge.

The result is a dark and heartbreaking story, full of suspicions, specters and power games, with a gallery of memorable characters: an intelligent prince paralyzed by doubt; a usurping king of impeccable appearance; a queen caught between desire and guilt; a fragile young woman pushed into silence; friends turned into spies; and a world where corruption permeates everything. Hamlet is deferred revenge, fierce lucidity and relentless irony: a work that questions what it means to act when the whole system is rotten.

Performances daily Thursday to Monday starting at 19:00.
