Chopin’s pure lyricism and Rachmaninoff’s symphonic force come together in this concert by the London Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Gianandrea Noseda. Seong-Jin Cho, one of the most refined pianists of his generation, explores Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2, a work of delicate beauty and poetic depth. The program opens with Stravinsky’s brilliant Divertimento from The Fairy's Kiss, a tribute to the tradition and melodic subtlety of Tchaikovsky. The evening promises emotional intensity and orchestral grandeur.
