This year, L’Auditori concludes its focus (started in the 2017-2018 season) on Franz Schubert’s lieder, one of the most extensive and highest quality collections of songs in the Classic and Romantic repertoire. Schubert's music has provided the perfect opportunity to discover the voices of some young national and international talents who represent the future of the genre. Schubert Lied is organised by L'Auditori de Barcelona in co-production with the Franz Schubert Association and the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical (National Centre for the Diffusion of Music).
Performing in this third program dedicated to Schubert’s lieder is soprano Natalia Labourdette from Madrid, who has already won critical acclaim for her opera performances in Spain, Italy and Germany and for her recitals, such as the one she performed in the 2018 edition of the LIFE Victoria lied festival. Trained in Berlin, Labourdette has won numerous competitions, including the First Prize and the Audience Award at the 14th New Voices of Seville Competition in 2017 and the First Prize at the Permanent Competition for Young Musicians of Spain in 2015.
