The all-female trio Ladies First arrives at Jamboree with a refined and singular musical journey. Formed in 2010, the group has evolved into a saxophone trio that blends classical formation with a wide palette of styles. Their repertoire spans original compositions, jazz standards and traditional music from around the world, all arranged specifically for this unique setup.

Last year the outstanding percussionist Mari Tere Valdés joined the group; her focus on vibraphone adds a warm, nostalgic and timeless color to the ensemble’s sound.

For this special concert, Ladies First welcomes Lola Stouthamer, a multifaceted artist who returns to her roots with her first musical companion, the alto saxophone, and a voice she discovered along her artistic journey. Enriched by collaborations with diverse artistic groups, Lola joins the trio to create an evening where tradition, exploration and authenticity merge seamlessly for an intimate, heartfelt and deeply musical experience.
