Singer, composer, and producer with roots in R&B and folk, Roy Borland is the heir to a family of musicians. Born in Madrid, he studied at the conservatory for eight years and in 2021, he began unveiling his project in Spanish. This new phase is closely tied to everyday life—the special moments of the day, the quiet pleasures of routine and the beauty hidden in its apparent insignificance.

Borland doesn’t hesitate when asked about his influences. Without missing a beat, he cites Jorge Drexler, Bobby McFerrin, Brian McKnight, Radiohead, Coldplay and Jacob Collier. He has produced for some of the most prominent artists of his generation, including El Kanka, Teo Lucadamo, Cráneo, Bejo, Teo Planell, Belén Aguilera, Tristán!, Azuleja, Nusar3000 and Barry B. His most recent works include the LP Fotografías de España and his latest release, Un Tiempo en Casa Solo. Without a doubt, Roy Borland is an artist destined to make his mark among the greats—a musician with an overflowing personality, ready to strike a chord with listeners through his voice and songs.
