When Paula Ribó brought Rigoberta Bandini to life, she had already spent years immersed in the arts as a writer, playwright, and multidisciplinary artist—experiences that fueled a project that would quickly become a landmark of Spanish popular culture. Between 2019 and 2022, with songs like “Ay Mamá” and her participation in the Benidorm Fest, Rigoberta Bandini gave voice to the feelings of a generation that doesn’t separate high and low culture, nor the personal from the political. With her album La Emperatriz, she established herself as an anthology of pop originality and creativity, delivering hits like “Perra,” “Too Many Drugs” and “In Spain We Call It Soledad,” and triumphing live with her RIGOTOUR. Maintaining a radically independent stance within the industry, and after a period of reflection, the Catalan artist is now preparing her next chapter: Jesucrista Superstar, a double album featuring tracks like “KAIMÁN” and “Pamela Anderson,” where she explores new sonic territories and reaffirms her role as a generational icon.
