An Evening With Machine Head

California’s heavy metal titans Machine Head crash onto the Razzmatazz stage on February 12th to present their latest album, Bloodstone and Diamonds (2014). Machine Head were formed in 1991 by vocalist and guitarist Robb Flynn and played a key role in the revitalisation of the metal genre during the Nineties. The band were close to separating in 2002 following controversy surrounding their album Supercharger (2001)—it was released three weeks after the September 11th attacks on New York and featured a song called Crashing Around You, the video for which included images of buildings burning. The group were subsequently re-signed, however, and have since released four more albums.
