Ratafia is a traditional Catalan drink that is more than a thousand years old. Recognized with its own geographical denomination. Prepared with green walnuts and brandy or pure alcohol, it's mixed with various aromatic and medicinal herbs, and follows a maceration process for about forty days. Each household prepares its own, so no two are alike!

Traditionally the ratafia is made in the days close to the feast of Sant Joan, which is the best time to pick the walnuts while they are still green.

The Ratafia Fair is a space designed for ratafia lovers. You'll find ratafia stalls from different Catalan producers, food vendors and a wide variety of talks and workshops, including how to make ratafia at home.
