When renowned mystery novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead in his mansion, just after his 85th birthday celebration, the inquisitive and courteous detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is mysteriously recruited to investigate the matter. He moves through a web of false leads and self-serving lies to try to uncover the truth of the writer's death.

Pack your own picnic to enjoy during the showing, or if you're short on time you can pick up take-away at one of L'illa restaurants and settle in for a summer evening with family and friends. Doors open at 21:00, screenings start at 22:00. Tickets must be purchased in advance online at the L'illa website. General admission is €4.50 and includes a pre-assigned lawn chair.

Open air Cinema at L’illa Diagonal takes place every Thursday in July. Unlike most of the other festivals which show films in VOSE (original version subtitles in Spanish), all films in this cycle are shown in Spanish.
