A place to bury strangers
Examine the human subconscious through contemporary dance this weekend at the Mercat de les Flors, as Catalan choreographer, Roberto Olivan, presents his latest production.
The search into the purest side of the innermost self, and its connection with the universe, both near and far, generates true happiness. Using this starting point, Olivan, who works between Brussels and Catalonia, has conceived a show that combines organic forms with strength and energy, proposing fresh emotional registers where contemporary dance is expressed through different stage languages.
Trained at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and at the P.A.R.T.S. school, Olivan formed his company in Belgium in 2003 and has created numerous shows that have been seen around the world. He has given a large number of classes and workshops and has combined his work as a dancer and choreographer with the artistic direction of the Deltebre Dansa Festival since 2004.
