Gràcia’s Plaça de la Virreina will host a community calçotada and anyone willing to make a bit of a mess is welcome. Calçots are giant spring onions that are cooked until black on the barbeque and eaten by pulling them out of their skin, dipping them in Romesco sauce and lowering them into the mouth; the process can be messy so bibs are advised! The calçots are usually accompanied by butifarra, although on Saturday a vegan option will also be available. Just turn up on the day—600 tickets priced at €14 each will be available in Plaça de la Virreina from midday on Saturday.
