In earlier this year, Pat Metheny's new album, MoonDial, came out, a continuation of the solo album he released last year, Dream Box. After seeing it years ago with his incredible Orchestrion project, Metheny returns to the solo guitar format with a world tour that lands at the Voll-Damm Jazz Festival this autumn.

"For me the idea," the guitarist explained about these concerts, "is to try to continue proposing different angles and ways of thinking about music, while hoping to maintain a common aesthetic to all of it. In other words," he concludes, what he wants is to "continue the search." Pat Metheny is, quite simply, inexhaustible.
