Paso de Zebra
to
Organised by the textile association Muchafibra, Paso de Zebra (Zebra Crossing) is now in its second year of uniting fashion and art with two days of activities in the Raval.
The festival aims to showcase emerging designers, giving them a platform to broadcast their work to the public in parallel with artistic performances and activities for anyone who wants to get involved. The streets of Carretes and Vistalegre will be covered in a giant yellow rug that will play host to the festival's programme of events.
Amongst the sights to be seen a graffiti artist will create a design to be used by fashion students to make clothes right there in the streets; some of these clothes will be worm by dance students who will give a special open-air performance during the festival; an exhibition of images of the Raval neighbourhood and debates about its status and conditions. There will also be children's activities and initiatives aimed at senior citizens.
