Pantalla Pavelló is a film series about the link between the man-made environment and the people who live in it.
Architecture and our cities determine and influence how we live in the same way as our rules of coexistence and the laws that govern our societies. Directly projected on the travertine of the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, the films selected emphasize the most extreme human culture, pushing viewers to reflect on the built environment around us, the cities we want and the society we desire. This year's films will be shown on the first Monday of the summer months, July 1st, August 5th, and September 2nd, programing soon to be announced.
Last year the Fundació Mies van der Rohe collaborated with the Copenhagen Architecture Festival (CAFx) for the summer cycle, and screened Moby Dick, John Huston (USA, 1956), Drift, Helena Wittmann (Germany, 2017) and Lords of Water, Jérôme Fritel (France, 2019).
