to
Palau Robert Passeig de Gràcia 107, 08008 Barcelona

Emerging in the mid-20th century, the avant-garde cultural movement was an important period in European history. Following the First World War, this movement broke down many established cultural and ideological patterns and modes in society. In its latest exhibition, Palau Robert explores the artistic and literary avant-garde movement in Catalunya, focusing on the work of the professor, historian and critic Joaquim Molas. Molas devoted many years to the work of the avant-garde, studying at the University of Barcelona and later in Liverpool. The exhibition highlights his involvement with the movement and his demand for social and cultural modernity.
