The much-anticipated inauguration of the Mercat de Sant Antoni takes place this weekend with an exciting programme of events planned for locals and visitors. The two-day celebration will include dance performances, music, guided tours of the market and child-friendly fun.
Designed by Antoni Rovira i Trias in 1882, the food and clothing market is known for its striking architecture, and is a popular spot amongst locals and tourists alike, but has been closed to the public since 2009.
