Tallers Oberts
If you missed last weekend's Tallers Oberts in Poble Sec and Ciutat Vella, where a great number of spaces and galleries opened the doors to their studios, you can still visit Poblenou, holding the event on May 18th-19th.
Some of the activities include the performance Paint en Directe (Saturday, 12pm) and a Jam Session (Saturday, 5pm-9pm) at NauART, a jewellery workshop for children (Sunday, 11-2pm) at MQ Creative Lab and a tapas and vermut workshop (Sunday, 1-4pm) at La Fundició del Poblenou. Guided tours, concerts and exhibitions are also taking place this weekend in Poblenou, which is also hosting a part of Loop Screen Festival.
This is the fourth edition of Tallers Oberts, with 38 open spaces and galleries, and the event has grown to include nearly all of Barcelona’s districts. The open door philosophy highlights that creativity is not confined to the relegated artistic space but is instead open to outside factors. Everyday life and passers-by can influence artistic output, just as they are in turn affected by art.
