Benjamin Franklin International School Martorell i Peña 9, Barcelona

Benjamin Franklin International School (BFIS) is an American school in Barcelona, which offers education to children aged 3 to 18 years old. The school is divided into Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle and High School, and has many after-school activities and programmes. They are also affiliated with the US Department of State Office of Overseas Schools, and their curriculum and teaching is guided by American educational principles.
The school was founded in 1986, but moved to its current location in 1991; a building in Martorell i Peña that was previously used to tend to patients, including English writer George Orwell, during the Spanish Civil War. BFIS are now opening their doors to prospective parents and pupils to come and see the campus, and get to know more about the school. They are hosting two open days, which require registration in advance.
