OMD is an English electronic band formed in Wirral, Merseyside in 1978. The band consists of longtime friends and Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys, accompanied by Stuart Kershaw on the drums, and keyboardist and saxophonist Martin Cooper. OMD released its debut single "Electricity" in 1979 and gained popularity throughout Europe with the 1980 anti-war song "Enola Gay." Later, OMD achieved broader recognition via the album Architecture and Morality and the singles which all immediately became international hits.
Now, the emblematic pioneer band of electronic music embarks on a European tour for its 40th anniversary!
