Oktoberfest Barcelona is a popular German festival, organized in the purest German style, which will take place in the Plaza Universo of Fira Barcelona Montjuïc, next to Plaza España.
The opening ceremony will commence on Wednesday, October 5, starting at 17:00 in the main tent, with the opening of the first barrel of beer. For 12 days you can enjoy live polka bands, DJs, Bavarian beer, food and festivities. The main tent is large, but has limited capacity, so to guarantee your spot you should reserve in advance online.
There's even a Bavarian costume contest! Participants must attend Oktoberfest Barcelona on October 5 dressed in their best "dirndl" or "lederhosen" and appear on the stage of the main tent from 19:00 to 20:00. Winners will receive a VIP table for Oktoberfest on Sunday, October 16 at noon, with a tasting of Bavarian cuisine for eight people, including eight VIP Oktoberfest Barcelona menus: grilled sausages, one pretzel and a liter Paulaner Original beer mug.
