From Daft Punk to Polo & Pan, the history of French electronic music has often been a duo affair. Air, Modjo, Braxe + Falcon, Justice, Cassius, Carte Blanche and The Blaze: reviewing the list of duos who have delivered four-handed rhythms to fill France’s dance floors is like taking a stroll down the walk of fame of contemporary club culture. This legacy is also carried forward by Dorian Lo and César de Rumme, better known as Ofenbach. Their growing popularity is undeniable: their shimmering, joyful yet emotional disco-funk continues to conquer new territories, appealing both to those nostalgic for their early clubbing days and to a new generation currently shaping its identity on the dance floor.
