Nunkui lives in a Shuar community with her grandparents, aunts, and cousins, and she dreams of the female spirit of the garden—also named Nunkui. As her great-aunt teaches her magical songs and secrets of cultivation, the vast Amazon rainforest they inhabit is handed over to mining companies, and evictions begin in the area. Premonitory dreams, the figure of her grandfather—a Shuar leader fighting to defend their territory—and the complexity of a world teeming with plants, animals, and spirits shape her transition into adolescence and her understanding of her place in the world.

Film will be screened in original version with subtitles in Catalan.
