Notre Dame
Maud Crayon is born in the Vosges, but resides in Paris. She is an architect, mother of two children and, in a huge misunderstanding, has just won a project at the Paris city hall to restructure the esplanade of the Notre-Dame Cathedral. As she takes on this new role, while also attempting to balance her family, her life begins to turn into a series of chaotic events.
Reviews
"Valérie Donzelli transforms everything she films into comedy. Notre Dame is certainly a story full of fantasy, a breath of fresh air, but make no mistake: the film is also a scathing criticism about the awkward place creators occupy in society and the absurd judgment that can be made of their works."—Les Inrockuptibles
"A refreshing pastel comedy that allows us to laugh at human imperfections."—Cineuropa
"Burlesque chronicle and full of enthusiasm of the vicissitudes of modern Parisian life, Valérie Donzelli's film offers hilarious scenes and dialogues, ignoring the evils of a capital that can drive you crazy."—Le Parisien
This film is in French with Spanish subtitles.
