Nils Petter Molvær is one of the most prominent voices in electroacoustic music, fusing improvisation and composition into a genre of his own that has achieved a unique identity. With a career spanning decades, Molvær has established himself as one of the most innovative trumpet players, known for his ability to create atmospheric soundscapes and powerful rhythms that capture the essence of human emotion.

On his new album Stitches, Molvær performs with his quartet, offering a vibrant mix of emotion and energy, where atmospheric sounds and hard-hitting rhythms merge impeccably. The first single, "Nearly Invisible Stitches," begins with a sense of intimacy and tranquility inspired by the Scandinavian environment, then transforms into an energetic and contagious rhythm that invites you to dream and let yourself be carried away by the wild nature of the north. This album also includes a spectacular cover of "True Love Waits," an original Radiohead ballad, which marks an important moment in his career: it is the first time Molvær has recorded a cover of another song. His soft and delicate trumpet lends the piece a unique beauty and tenderness, making it a perfect proposal for ballads, romantic music and chill-out music playlists.

This album, created largely during lockdown, sounds fluid and organic, proving that artistic collaboration can overcome the barriers of isolation and distance.
