Nicky is a 13-year-old witch apprentice who leaves the family behind to become independent and begin the process that will definitively turn her into a witch. Accompanied by Gigi, her black cat, she undertakes an initiation journey that will help her to discover her weak points and authentic virtues.

The Hayao Miyazaki cycle opens with the presentation by Verònica Calafell, translator and interpreter, specializing in the Japanese language. She is the translator of the works of Rumiko Takahashi, Naoki Urasawa and some films from the Ghibli studios, among others. Currently she combines the linguistic and informative work with the management and coordination of Daruma Space.
