This indie-rock band from Sant Vicenç dels Horts, Barcelona, began their musical career back in 1999 singing solely in English but, following the addition of guitarist Julián Saldarriaga in 2005, they ditched the English lyrics in favour of Spanish. Shortly after making that decision, the band released their fourth studio album, Maniobras de escapismo (2005), and have gone from strength to strength. In the past, they have supported British rock-royalty, The Cure, as well as playing many popular international festivals including Festival Internacional de Benicassim and Popkomm in Berlin. They’ve won the Rolling Stone Awards for Best Group of the Year and Best Tour (2010) and have been nominated for two MTV Music Awards. The band released their eighth studio album last year, El poeta Halley (2016), so you can expect them to play both old and new material at their upcoming gigs at Palau Sant Jordi.
