The last work composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — although left unfinished at the time of his death — has long been shrouded in mystery and controversy. Beyond the legends surrounding the mysterious commission and the composer’s untimely passing, the Requiem holds its place in music history on its own merits. 

Its emotional depth and vigorous character convey the image of a God who is close and benevolent, rather than distant or fearsome, without the need for grandiloquent liturgies. This is the work chosen for the concert that brings together the Cor Jove de l’Orfeó Català and the Orquestra Universitat de València.
