A captivating portrait of Meredith Monk—composer, performer, interdisciplinary artist and trailblazer of the contemporary avant-garde. Despite her profound influence, Monk was often overlooked, particularly during her early years in the male-dominated New York art scene of the 1960s and 1970s, where criticism was often harsh and sexist. Blending striking archival footage with interviews featuring Björk, David Byrne and other leading figures, the film reveals her radical and singular creative vision. In its final chapters, Monk confronts the challenge of entrusting her work to new voices and directors, reflecting on the delicate process of passing on a unique artistic legacy across generations.

Film will be screened in its original version with subtitles in Catalan.
