Film still from "Mirrors No. 3" directed by Christian Petzold (Germany, 2025),
After surviving a car accident in which her partner dies, a young music student is taken in at a nearby house, where she eventually settles. There lives a woman with her husband and son, among whom a growing sense of unease pervades. In Christian Petzold's latest film, Paula Beer shines once again in a story full of secrets and subtleties that cements the German director's status as a genre unto himself.
Director Christian Petzold will present the film. Petzold's filmography is a portrait of contemporary Europe that takes the form of melodrama, fantastical fable, or sociopolitical narrative. His cinema, a direct heir to the Berlin School, is characterized by precise and austere mise-en-scène, and by characters often trapped in spaces of transition. A prolific filmmaker, selected and awarded at festivals such as Berlin, Venice, and San Sebastián, that has established him as one of the essential voices of contemporary European cinema.
Film will be screened in original version Catalan subtitles.
A film in the 2026 edition of D'A Film Festival.
