The exhibition Miguel Milá, (Pre)industrial Designer, organized by La Fábrica and the Madrid Design Festival, celebrates the career of one of Spain’s design pioneers: Miguel Milá Sagnier. With a career spanning over 70 years, Miguel Milá received some of the most prestigious design awards, including the National Design Award and the Compasso d’Oro Internazionale, solidifying his status as a key figure in the history of industrial design. His approach blends functionality, elegance, and simplicity, driven by the belief that good design should be both useful and timeless.
The exhibition explores his creative process, shaped by craftsmanship, DIY culture, and a commitment to the essentials. It also highlights his contributions to public spaces, where design and comfort come together to enrich everyday life. Through more than 200 pieces, prototypes, blueprints, and recent works, the exhibition offers a unique journey through the life and work of this Barcelona design icon.
